What You Should See
So The Grudge (2020) is new this weekend, a remake of an American movie series from 2004 through 2009, which was a remake of a Japanese movie, Ju-On: The Grudge, which itself was actually the third installment in a series of horror movies, the first two having been a . This one’s got John Cho, which I would normally call a good thing, but unless you’re morbidly curious about how horribly a movie can be reviewed (like me), you probably shouldn’t even click on The Grudge‘s reviews.
And… that’s about… it… this weekend…
So… I might suggest instead that you take the opportunity in this, the last weekend of the holiday season (that is if you get any time off at all in December [unlike me]), to catch all the great movies you may have missed. Jojo Rabbit’s still playing at the Princess. The Lighthouse is showing tonight and Saturday at Metro Cinema. Waves has a showing on Sunday there too. Little Women deserves the attention of people of all types, even grown men.
So go see one of those.
And look forward to our Top 10 movies/year-end/possibly decade end wrap up, coming next week.
