Opening this Weekend

Nothing from nothing leaves nothing

Box Office Predictions

  1. Here, let me read to you from my play:
  2. “Kippers for breakfast, Aunt Helga?”
  3. “Is it Saint Swiven’s Day already?”
  4. “Tis,” replied Aung Helga.
  5. … All this time alone… I can feel myself becoming more isolated and weird.

What You Should See

And now we come to the part of the new movie release schedule where most everything is back on track and any new home streaming/VOD releases coming out were always going to come out now.  Nothing brand new like Trolls:  World Tour, nothing ahead of schedule like The Hunt or The Invisible Man, just back to the normal schedule, and so I could point out new VOD releases like Fantasy Island or The Rhythm Section, but… why even bother, their home release isn’t newsworthy (also, you shouldn’t see either of them).

I’ll go ahead and point out Metro Cinema’s newest Virtual Cinema screenings releases this week are Parasite and Toni Erdmann, both of which I highly recommend, but you should know that they’re timed releases, and so if you buy tickets, you have to see them at their schedule time.  Kind of like seeing movies used to be.  And I’ll point out again Metro Cinema’s COVID-19 emergency support fundraiser.  You can donate here.

So that’s it for this week.  It’s not much to look at I know, but that’s all we got.  So until the day we can all gather in public again to attend our optics festivals, I swear I don’t know where the bombs are, only the minors know that!

And kudos to everyone anyone who knows what I’ve been screwing around with here.  Kudos!
