What You Should See
I don’t want to fool you or anything. I mean, there are a decent amount of new movie choices for this weekend, but, realistically, only about half of them count.
Of course, you can see Ready Player One. That would be the normal thing to do. That’s what they expect you to do. An informed source even tells me it’s exactly what you think it is except not really, really bad (So review here next weekend then? We’ll see what happens). I think In the Fade looks interesting just because it has Diane Kruger in the lead role and it’s rare that we see actors that most of us met first speaking in English in a leading role in an entirely different language. looks interesting My most enthusiastic recommendation would probably go to Best F(r)iends, the latest Tommy Wiseau/Greg Sestero “joint” if only out of morbid curiosity. And I’d probably give Walk With Me, a documentary taking a look inside a Zen Buddhist community a try too. Again, if only out of morbid curiosity.
But as for Madame? Bitterly disappointing reviews. And God’s Not Dead: A Light in Darkness? Not a real movie. Stop going to these things, people (and it also has terrible reviews)!
