What You Should See

Y’know what this is going to be a bad weekend for?  People who hate diversity.

So let’s get the first movie out of the way, and that’s Fast & Furious Presents:  Hobbs & Shaw.  I don’t think I need to tell you anything about it.  You’re either in or you’re out.

Things get a lot more interesting with the weekend’s only other major release, The Art of Self-Defense, which looks like all kinds of understated bonkers; it comes with my highest recommendation.  It’s only playing at the Princess though.

After that, we get a whole lot of foreign language films, including Master Z:  Ip Man Legacy, Iyengar:  The Man, Yoga, and the Student’s Journey, An Elephant Sitting Still, and Damascus Aleppo, all of which come either partially or highly recommended from me, as well as Mouthpiece, which explores women’s issues in a really intriguing manner, and I would recommend that too.

And really, to be fair, I’m kind of in favour of seeing Hobbes & Shaw too.  That’s just the kind of diverse and inclusive mood I’m in right now.
