What You Should See
This may be the beginning of a big comeback for M. Night Shymalan after last year’s Wayward Pines (a show on which he’s an executive producer) and with this week’s release of The Visit, which is sounding like a pretty good bet for your movie-going dollars this weekend. The End of the Tour also finally opens in Edmonton this weekend, so all you David Foster Wallace fans can finally get your freak on. It’s really a pretty good movie weekend all around, other than 90 Minutes in Heaven, which looks like a big, steaming pile of Hayden Christensen. And don’t try to convince me he’s not a terrible actor, ‘cause I saw Shattered Glass, and he was the same whiny, unconvincing, inorganic mess in that movie as he is in the prequels.
Note for anyone interested in the French DJ film, Eden, right now it’s only running until this Tuesday, so see it now before it’s gone. Also, could the Garneau have possibly picked a worse time to show another DJ movie so soon after We Are Your Friends?
