What You Should See

There’s a big part of me that just wants to say you should all go see The House That Jack Built this weekend and leave it at that, but I’m pretty sure if I just left it there as if I was openly recommending the movie, the latest from auteur (i.e., weirdo) director Lars von Trier about a serial killer’s 12-year of murder, as if it were for everybody (or anybody), a lot of you would end up pretty mad as you walked out of the theatre.  It does look “intriguing” in a word, though, as well as other words like “pretentious”, “torturous”, “pathetic”, and “vomitive” (And those last four are all from one critic!  Whose Twitter account is now suspended!), but it is the one new movie I’d recommend that’s opening this weekend.

But that’s mostly because I wouldn’t see any of the others.   And they are:

Actually, I’d consider Nothing Like a Dame too.  But probably not seriously though.  Not for me personally.
